Refriango, an Angolan company known for soft drinks, fruit juices and mineral water, has invested US$50 million over 18 months to create its own brand of beer, company director João Sampaio said Thursday in Luanda.
The director, who was presenting Tigra beer to the public, said the manufacturing facility where the new product is being produced has an initial capacity to place about 50 million litres per year in the market, according to Angolan news agency Angop .
Sampaio said that Tigra beer, which has an alcohol content of 5 percent, is available in three formats – 33 cl can, 25 cl mini bottle and a 33 cl redeemable bottle – will be sold throughout the country, from this month onward at the same price as other national beers.
Refriango, whose portfolio of products includes three brands of wine, also manufactures bestsellers Blue soda, water brand Pure, Nutry and Tutti juices and Welwitschia tonic water. (macauhub/AO/PT)
