The airline Binter CV – a subsidiary of Binter Canary – is scheduled to start its inter-island operations in Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) in June, announced the president of the airline, Pedro Agustín del Castillo, in Las Palmas.
Binter CV will start operating with two ATR 72 aircraft, connecting three to four islands.
The company expects that by the end of 2016 a third airplane will come into operation.
The ATR 72 has a capacity of 78 passengers, is manufactured by Franco-German consortium ATR and began operating in 1989.
Castillo said the aim is to implement the same business model and operation that already exists in the Canary islands in Cabo Verde, although adjusted to the size of the archipelago. (macauhub/CV)
