Construction company China Gezhouba Group Company Limited (CGCC) is examining the possibility of launching an infrastructure business in Brazil, where it already has an office, said the Director-General of the company in Brazil.
Lucas Fan also told the Reuters news agency that in addition to infrastructure, there is the possibility of acquisition of assets, development projects under concession, public-private partnerships or simply applying for public tenders to carry out projects.
“Our attention is not focused only on energy, it also covers sectors such as basic sanitation and logistics,” said the Director-General of CGCC in Brazil, adding “we are coming to this country as investors and builders and we intend to find suitable Brazilian partners for conducting business.”
State company CGGC, which is part of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was established in 1970 and operates in the design, construction and operation of projects in the areas of sanitation, hydropower, thermal power, nuclear and wind as well as power transmission, roads, bridges and other activities.
