The capital of Sao Tome and Principe next September will host the forum of exporters of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), the president of the CPLP Exporters Union, Mario Costa said recently in Sao Tome.
“We set the forum as the kick-off to bring investors and potential partners here, but do not want to be alone on major projects, we also want to help small and medium enterprises,” said Costa at the end of meeting with Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada .
Costa, who made a three-day visit to Sao Tome and Principe, met with the Minister of Agriculture, Teodorico Campos and also the Minister of the Economy and International Cooperation, Agostinho Fernandes.
Costa said that the Union plans to help Sao Tome and Principe to diversify its economy, including through placement of the Archipelago’s products in the global trade network.
The visit’s schedule included meetings with various partners and local businesses including the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APCI), BGFI Bank STP and the Sao Tome Football Federation. (macauhub/ST)
