Guinea-Bissau will take part in the next economic summit between China and African countries, due to be held in Beijing this year, the Guinean Prime Minister, Baciro Dja said Friday in Bissau.
The confirmation from the head of the Guinea-Bissau government was made to the Chinese ambassador to Guinea-Bissau, Wang Hua, during an audience that also discussed cooperation issues between the two countries.
The ambassador noted the importance of Guinea-Bissau attending the summit in Beijing for the country’s development. This is particularly so for the agriculture, health, education and infrastructure sectors.
The Chinese ambassador also said that his government hoped that throughout the summit plans will be made for execution of a number of projects financed by China, the largest foreign investor in Africa. (macauhub/CN/GW)
