Mozambique and Timor-Leste take part in Macau Franchise Expo

The Guangdong and Macau Branded Product Fair and the Macau Franchise Expo this year will be held simultaneously for the first time, according to a decision of the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).

This fair/exhibition will be attended for the first time by Mozambique and Timor-Leste (East Timor) and also includes an area dedicated to Indonesian products featuring 50 stands.

Mozambique and Timor-Leste are first-timers among the countries taking part in the Macau Franchise Expo (MFE) and Irene Lau, executive member of IPIM, told Portuguese-language newspaper Tribuna de Macau that, “Macau has always kept in touch with all the Portuguese-speaking countries that take advantage of this kind of event to take their products to the Chinese market.”

The list of participants includes countries and regions such as mainland China, Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Portugal, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

The two fairs will cost IPIM 16 million patacas (US$2 million).

This year’s edition of the Guangdong and Macau Branded Products Fair will be held between 29 and 31 July in a new venue, with a total area of ​​9,000 square metres, with 357 exhibition stands. (macauhub/MO/MZ/PT/TL)
