Brazilian aeronautical company Embraer delivered 29 jets to the commercial aviation segment during the third quarter of 2016, a 38% increase in the number of aircraft delivered in the same period of 2015, the company said in a statement.
The company also reported that the number of aircraft delivered in the executive aviation segment fell 17% to 25 units.
From January to the end of September, Embraer delivered 76 commercial aircraft, 64 of which were the E175 model, and 74 executive aircraft, most of which (48) were light jets.
The main highlight of the quarter was the sale of up to ten E2 E190 aircraft to Indonesia’s Kalstar Aviation, with the respective contract signed at the Farnborough Air Festival.
Also in the quarter, Embraer announced an order for up to five E190 aircraft for Colorful Guizhou Airlines, of China, with the contract including two firm orders and three options.
In the executive aviation segment, the highlight was the announcement of a firm order by Colorful Yunnan Chinese for two Phenom 300 jet aircraft. (macauhub)
