Gross revenues from Macau’s casinos grew in October for the third consecutive month, increasing 8.8% year on year to 21.815 billion patacas (US$2.726 billion ), said the region’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
Casinos in the territory in August ended a series of 26 consecutive months of decline in gross revenues that began in June 2014, a month in which revenues amounted to 27.215 billion patacas.
In cumulative terms, i.e. from January to October, the gross revenue of the six casino concession holders amounted to 184.607 billion patacas (US$23.075 billion), with annual negative growth of 5.8%.
At the end of the first half of 2015 there were 38 casinos in Macau, 20 run by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Venetian Macau, four by Melco Crown Gaming (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts (Macau ) and one by MGM Grand Paradise, which had a total of 6,304 gambling tables and 15,769 slot machines.
