Entrepreneurs from Angola and China want to enhance partnerships

28 December 2016

Over 600 Angolan and Chinese businesspeople are interested in intensifying partnerships in various economic sectors in Angola, especially in agriculture, industry and infrastructure, announced the president of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce.

Manuel Arnaldo Calado, who spoke exclusively to state newspaper Jornal de Angola during the inauguration of the Perola Imperial condominium, said that the institution is working to create conditions for Chinese entrepreneurs and investors to continue to look at Angola with confidence and invest more in the country.

The president of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce Angola said that the concentration of China’s investment in Luanda was due to a lack of determination by Angolan businessmen to do business and make investments in other regions of the country outside the capital.

Saying that there are now many Chinese entrepreneurs investing outside Luanda, the association leader recalled that the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce aims to promote and support entrepreneurs to invest in China and Angola, promoting trade and technological exchanges.

Calado said the platform he leads supports Chinese entrepreneurs who have capital and technology to invest in the establishment of the right partnerships so that they can develop their business with security and transparency.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce also called on Angolan businesspeople to be more organised and credible in order to benefit from investment by Chinese entrepreneurs, after the mistrust at an early stage has been eliminated. (macauhub)
