Macau was visited by 28.13 million people from January to November, representing a marginal increase of 0.2% year on year, reported the Statistics and Census Bureau.
The number of visitors from mainland China (18.66 million) and Hong Kong (5.81 million) fell 0.5% and 2.2%, respectively, and visitors from South Korea (591,000) and Taiwan (979,000) grew 18.5% and 8.5%, respectively, in annual terms.
Visitors remained in Macau for an average of 1.2 days, or an additional 0.1 days compared to the same period of last year.
In November 2.58 million visitors arrived in Macau, similar to the number recorded in the same month of 2015 but lower than the 3.4% recorded in October 2016. (macauhub)
