Nine of the 12 proposals submitted to the public tender for the contract for the design and construction of the Services Complex for Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries have been admitted, and the remaining three have been eliminated, said the Macau Lands, Public Works and Transportation Bureau.
The Bureau also reported that the three proposals eliminated – Companhia de Construção Everich (Macau)/Engenharia Hsin Chong (Macau), Companhia de Construção & Engenharia Shing Lung/Consultadoria de Engenharia Civil Y W Siu and Companhia de Desenvolvimento Predial San You – did not meet the provisions set out in the tender and in the clarifications provided in writing to competitors.
In a statement, the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau also stated that, after allocating scores for the technical part and the design a notice will be posted with a date for the 2nd round of the public opening of the “price of the work.”
The future Services Complex will be located in central area of the Macau peninsula an area of about 14,200 m2, and the construction work is likely to start in the third quarter of 2017 and have a maximum deadline of 20 months.
The complex comprises the Exhibition Centre for Products from Portuguese Speaking Countries, the Service Centre for Companies from China and the Portuguese Speaking Countries, the Information Centre, the Exhibition Hall on Economic and Trade Relations between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries and their Cultures, the Training Centre between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries as well as the Exhibition Hall on the Urban Development of Macau.
