On 26 July Beijing Capital Airlines will launch flights between Hangzhou and Lisbon, announced the airline, a regional subsidiary of the HNA Group.
The flight will be offered three times a week – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – between the city of Hangzhou, 177 kilometres from Shanghai and Lisbon, with a stop in Beijing.
The flight between China and Portugal will be carried out by an Airbus 330-200 aircraft, one of the European manufacturer’s largest commercial aircraft, with capacity for 475 passengers.
The People’s Republic of China is the world’s largest source of tourists and, according to official statistics, 135.1 million Chinese travelled abroad in 2016, an increase of 12.5% â€‹â€‹over the previous year.
The HNA Group is a conglomerate founded in 2000 based in Haikou, Hainan, involved in aviation, real estate, financial services, tourism and logistics and other activities.
This group is a shareholder of Brazilian airline Azul and through the Atlantic Gateway consortium, of TAP Air Portugal. (macauhub)
