Brazil’s Embraer delivers 33 jet aircraft in the first quarter of 2017

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (Embraer) delivered 18 jet aircraft to the commercial aviation market in China, the United States and Europe during the first quarter of 2017, the company said in a statement issued at São José dos Campos, in the state of São Paulo.

 

In the same period Embraer also delivered 15 units to the executive aviation segment, of which 11 were light and four were large.

 

As of 31 March, the company’s firm order backlog amounted to US$19.2 billion.

 

Azul – Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, an airline that operates the largest fleet of E195 jet aircraft, became the first airline to operate the new E195-E2, and submitted a proposal for the purchase of up to 50 aircraft, 30 of which were firm and 20 options to buy.

 

Embraer is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial jets with up to 130 seats, with a hundred customers worldwide. (macauhub)
