This year’s edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda) will be held from 26 to 30 July and will be attended by more than 200 national and foreign exhibitors, the president of the Eventos Arena group announced on Wednesday in the Angolan capital.
Bruno Albernaz recalled that the 2016 edition did not take place due to the economic crisis that Angola is going through adding that for Filda 2017 he expects the participation of 15 invited countries, most notably South Africa, Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Germany, whose companies will exhibit their products in an area of 16,000 square metres shared with the national exhibitors.
Under the motto “Diversify the economy and boost national production, with a view to a self-sufficient and exporting Angola,” Albernaz explained that the event is an initiative of the Ministry of Economy, in which the Arena group participates as a promoter, according to Angolan news agency Angop.
The 32nd edition of the Luanda International Fair, held from 21 to 26 July 2015, led to an estimated US$11 million worth of business, the result of five days of business contacts between decision makers, suppliers, managers and financiers. (macauhub)
