Portuguese-speaking entrepreneurs meet in Maputo in October

The Business Confederation of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CE-CPLP) will hold the 1st CPLP Economic Conference in Maputo, Mozambique, on 18 and 19 October, the CPLP vice-president said in the Portuguese city of Matosinhos on Wednesday.

In an integrated presentation on the first day of FIN 2017 – International Trade Fair & Forum – China and Portuguese and Spanish Speaking Countries, an event organised by the Portuguese-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association and by the Sino PLPE Federation (Portuguese and Spanish Speaking Countries) Tiago Mendonça spoke about the importance of the conference that the CE-CPLP intends to organise. There are also plans to repeat the conference in Brazil in 2018 and in Portugal in 2019.

Mendonça added that working groups have been set up that will be responsible for researching and producing content, as well as for defining and prioritising projects, according to Portuguese news agency Lusa.

One of the groups is working on the creation of an Arbitration Centre in Portuguese, which the CE-CPLP expects to conclude in October.

The mobility network, double taxation, as well as professional mobility, among other issues, are among the topics due to be addressed by the working groups set up under the 1st CPLP Market Conference. (macauhub)
