Mozambican diplomat Vicente Manuel has resigned as Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macau and is expected to be replaced shortly by economist Rodrigo Manuel Ferreira Brum.
Manuel, who was born in Mandimba, Niassa, northern Mozambique, served in Forum Macau for three years, nominated by the Portuguese-speaking countries.
The diplomat, who studied at Renmin University in Beijing between 1994 and 1997, joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mozambique in 1998.
Rodrigo Brum, 60, served in the Macau government in the 1990s as the chief of staff of the then Assistant Secretary for Economy and Finance.
The Portuguese economist, born in Mozambique, has a degree in Business Management from the Higher Institute of Economics of the Technical University of Lisbon. (macauhub)
