The Special Partnership between Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) and the European Union (EU) has been extended with the inclusion of three new areas – investment, growth and employment, management of the oceans and institutional reforms, the archipelago’s Foreign Minister said.
Luís Filipe Tavares told Radio Cabo Verde at the end of the Ministerial Summit held in Brussels that the inclusion of the three new areas was approved through a joint statement.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs also met for the second time with the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, to whom he expressed Cabo Verde’s willingness to further deepen relations.
Lat May Cabo Verde celebrated 10 years of the Special Partnership with the European Union based on six areas – good governance, security and stability, regional integration, technical and normative convergence, information and knowledge society, fight against poverty and development . (macauhub)
