Banco Nacional Ultramarino de Macau closed the first half-year with a profit of 320.9 million patacas (US$40 million), indicates the balance sheet published in the territory’s official gazette.
The profit achieved in the first six months of 2017 is 15.2 percent more than the amount recorded in the same period of 2016.
The published accounts indicate that BNU recorded income of 879.5 million patacas and expenses of 558.7 million patacas.
In 2016 BNU earned a profit of 540.5 million patacas, up 9.8 percent over 2015.
BNU Macau is a subsidiary company of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos group based in Macau. Its only shareholder is that Portuguese state-owned group. (Macauhub)
