Macau’s population increases to 648,400 in 2nd quarter

The population of Macau increased by 100 people to 648,400 in the quarter ending last June, with females accounting for 52.8 percent of the total, indicate figures from the Statistics and Census Service.

The number of Chinese immigrants (776) and individuals authorised to reside in Macau (382) also recorded a quarterly decline during that period, down 435 and 29 people respectively.

At the end of the second quarter there were 178,600 non-resident workers, down 1,185 over the previous quarter. (Macauhub)
