23 August 2017

The 4th China Regional Aviation Forum (RAF 2017), a joint organisation of Brazilian aeronautical company Embraer and the West Airport Group, will take place on 29 and 30 August in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on the theme “Innovation, Connectivity and ‘The Belt & Road’: taking regional aviation to the next level,” the Brazilian group said in a statement.

More than 200 airline executives, trade association leaders and industry experts, including Embraer executives, will discuss the challenges and opportunities in China’s regional aviation in the context of the Belt and Road initiative.

John Slattery, chief executive of Embraer Aviação Comercial, recalled that Embraer has delivered more than 2,300 commercial jet aircraft to more than 100 airlines in 60 countries, “with the company accumulating extensive experience in developing regional aviation markets with successful E-Jets operation.”

Embraer is the leading manufacturer of commercial jets with up to 130 seats, leading the Chinese regional aviation market in the jet segment from 70 to 130 seats with almost 80% market share.

As of July 2017, Embraer had 221 firm orders in China (187 commercial jets and 34 executive jets) and 179 deliveries (145 commercial jets and 34 executive jets). (macauhub)
