Mozambique will host its first international investment conference next September, to present business opportunities to attract foreign investment to various sectors of the country, Mozambican daily newspaper O País reported.
The conference, organised by the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce and the Arab-African Socio-Economic Council, will be attended by 54 African countries and international economic development organisations.
Mozambique is expected to be represented at this conference by more than 120 delegates, the paper said.
Around 100 international banks and financial institutions interested in investing in Africa are also expected to attend.
The Mozambican Chamber of Commerce was recently involved in the organisation of the Gas and Oil Conference, a meeting held in Maputo which also aimed to present business opportunities in this sector to potential domestic and foreign investors. (macauhub)
