Angola is guest country and Guangdong the guest province of the 22nd Macau International Fair

Angola will be the guest country and Guangdong will be the guest province of China at the 22nd edition of the Macau International Fair (MIF), which will take place from 19 to 21 October, said the Macau Institute for Trade and Investment Promotion (IPIM).

IPIM, which is the organiser of the event, also said that the choice of the invited partners is intended to highlight the advantages of Macau as a service platform for trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and for better participation in work involved in the construction of the Great Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay.

This year, the “Exhibition of Products and Services of Portuguese Language Countries in Macau (PLPEX)” will be held for the first time and take place alongside the 22nd edition of MIF.

In addition to the fair itself, other events will take place including the “Forum for Trade and Investment between Angola, Guangdong Province and Macau,” “High Level Roundtable on Infrastructure Construction in Jiangsu Province, Macau and the Portuguese-speaking countries,” “3rd edition of the Forum of Young Entrepreneurs between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries,” and the “14th World Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs,” among others.

Occupying an area of more than 30,000 square metres with more than 1,600 stands, MIF 2016 attracted delegations from more than 50 countries and regions, and over the three days of the fair more than 380 commercial negotiation sessions were held. (macauhub)
