Fifty-one of the 75 companies in Angola’s Public Business Sector presented their accounts for the 2016 financial year, 11 of which were approved without reservation, the Ministry of Economy announced in a statement released in Luanda.

The reported figures show that the number of companies that submitted accounts is lower than in 2015, but last year an additional three were approved without reservation.

The document said that the Angolan Customs Warehouse (Entreposto Aduaneiro de Angola), the Angop news agency, the National Press (Imprensa Nacional), the Ensa Group, the Land and Infrastructures Management Company (EGTI), airline TAAG, Unicargas, the port companies of Luanda, Lobito and Amboim and the Luanda Railroad had their accounts approved without reservations.

This was the sixth time that the Institute of the Public Business Sector (ISEP) conducted an approval of public business sector accounts.

Available information shows that in 2012 and 2013 just three companies were approved without reservation, which in 2014 and 2015 rose slightly, and in 2015 the accounts of eight companies with fully approved – Edições Novembro, Angop, Imprensa Nacional, ENSA Group, TAAG, Unicargas and the port companies of Amboim and Lobito.
