Angolan bank BIC will present a request in November to establish a representative office in Macau, the representative of Angola at the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries said on Tuesday.
Belarmino Barbosa was speaking on the sidelines of the presentation of the 22nd Macau International Fair (MIF) and the Portuguese-Speaking-Countries Products and Services Exhibition (PLPEX), which will run from Thursday to Saturday in the territory.
The representative of Angola at Forum Macau also said that he was informed of this decision by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco BIC, Fernando Teles, and it was up to the Macau government to “accept the request or not.”
Angola is this year’s guest country at the Macau International Fair, similarly to Guangdong, which is the guest Chinese province at the fair. (macauhub)
