Cape Verde’s prime minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva on Friday in Cascais, on the outskirts of the Portuguese capital, will open the 1st Cabo Verde Development Forum, a meeting organised by the Government of Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) and the consultancy firm Ernst & Young SA Portugal (EY), according to official information.
The Communications Office of the government also said that during the meeting will discuss topics such as the tax system, the basis for the development and integration of Cabo Verde in the world – geostrategic location and development policies, investment and privatisation.
The 1st Cabo Verde Development Forum is part of the commitment made by the current government of Cabo Verde, focused on the economic development and modernisation of the country, putting into practice a set of policies and measures to allow the West African archipelago to attract direct foreign investment.
The Forum will include meetings with Portuguese businesspeople and visits to some companies in the region of Santarém and Torres Vedras.
Ulisses Correia e Silva is accompanied on his visit to Portugal from 16 to 18 November by the current ministers of culture and creative industries, A Abraão Vicente and the Minister for the economy and employment, José da Silva Gonçalves. (macauhub)
