French bank offers financing to Angola of US$500 million

France’s Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CACIB) has granted a credit line ofUS$500 million to the Angolan government for public investment programmes.


The finance framework agreement is due to be signed and is intended to ensure the continuity and execution of the government programme on the execution of projects included in the investment programme of the 2013-2017 National Development Plan.


The Angolan government believes it needs to diversify its sources of funding to cover the costs of public investments that are needed for the country’s social and eocnomic development. (macauhub)
