During the first eleven months of 2017, 29,556,816 people visited Macau, an additional 5.1% over the same period of 2016, according to the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC).
According to the same information 20.1 million visitors came from Mainland China, 797,000 from the Republic of Korea, which represented increases of 7.8% and 34.7% year on year, respectively.
Visitors from Hong Kong accounted for 5.5 million tourists and Taiwan for 971,000, or declines of 3.8% and 0.8%, respectively.
In November, according to DSEC, Macau received 2.8 million visitors, an increase of 9.4% over the same period of 2016
Mainland China accounted for 1.9 million visitors, most of which arrived from the provinces of Guangdong, Hunan and Fujian. (macauhub)
