China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi will on Tuesday in São Tomé and Príncipe conclude an African tour that took him to Rwanda, Gabon and Angola.
The São Tomé Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities Urbino Botelho said last week on announcing the Chinese minister’s visit that, “we will seize the opportunity to strengthen our bilateral relations, make an assessment of this first year of the re-establishment of bilateral relations and look to the future.”
Urbino Botelho said that the visit of the Chinese leader “is proof of the excellence of bilateral relations” and said delegations from the two countries “will review issues of common interest.”
China and São Tomé and Príncipe re-established diplomatic relations in December 2016. (macauhub)
