Angola’s new ambassador to China, João Salvador Neto dos Santos, presented his credentials at a ceremony held at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to an Angolan spokesperson.
The document accrediting the diplomat as the new representative of the Angolan State was received by the deputy director of Protocol, Ambassador Fan Yong.
During the meeting, the two diplomats addressed issues of bilateral interest, expressed satisfaction at the excellent relations between the two countries and reiterated their determination to consolidate and deepen cooperation under the strategic partnership agreement between Angola and China.
Santos Neto was appointed to the position last February by the President of Angola, João Lourenço.
The new ambassador is a graduate of Law and International Political Relations and replaces João Garcia Bires, who was in charge of that diplomatic mission since December 2011. (macauhub)
