China’s ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, has asked the Angolan Minister of Economy and Planning, Pedro Luís da Fonseca, to adopt policies that facilitate investment and cooperation for development.
A statement from the embassy quoted by Forum Macau reports that Cui Aimin gave assurances that China is willing to cooperate with Angola in the areas of investment and finance, trade, agriculture and industry.
The two states should work to improve efficiency and strengthen bilateral economic ties, the diplomat added, during a meeting with the Angolan economy minister.
Fonseca stressed that Angola could learn from China’s opening up to foreign markets and that the country would like to attract more Chinese investment to diversify the economy. (macauhub)
