Macau’s gross casino revenue rose 27.6% year-on-year in April, the second highest percentage change of the year to 25.728 billion patacas (US$3.216 billion), according to the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
Revenue in accumulated terms, from January to April, amounted to 102.239 billion patacas (12.780 billion patacas), an increase of 22.2% when compared to the same period of 2017.
In 2017, gross revenue from casino gaming grew 19.1% year-on-year to 265.743 billion patacas (US$33.217 billion).
At the end of the first quarter, there were 41 casinos, of which 22 were run by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Venetian Macau, four by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts (Macau) ) and two by MGM Grand Paradise, with , gaming tables and 17,205 slot machines.
