The tourism sector in Angola may in the near future represent an important source of revenue collection and job creation, Angola’s Tourism Minister Ângela Bragança said on Monday in Luanda.
The minister, speaking at the end of the 8th working meeting with the Angolan ambassadors accredited in foreign countries, said that the Ministry is working with other sectors, particularly in the area of Construction and the Interior, to develop tourism, raise revenue and, as a result, create jobs.
She also said that tourism will play a fundamental role in the development of the Angolan economy, given that there is enough potential to develop the sector and obtain revenues, a goal that should be achieved with the participation of foreign businesses.
According to the minister, it is essential to improve basic services, such as access roads and inspection of tourist sites, in order to safeguard their facilities, as well as training human resources to allow Angola to reach world standards in the tourism sector. (macauhub)
