Guangde Group turonver in Angola reaches US$200 million

Investments by Chinese group Guangde International, which has been active in Angola since 1999, have reached US$200 million, Ning Xu told Angolan news agency Angop.

Xu spoke after the inauguration of Shopping Gude, the group’s new venture in the Zango District in Viana.

The group created in Angola in 1999 by Chinese entrepreneurs, began its activity as an importer, but in 2006 decided to invest in local production of goods imported from China.

Guangde International has 20 factories in Cachaço, Luanda and Vila Alice, engaged in civil construction, furniture production, mattress production, zinc and cushioned sheets, poultry, mushroom growing, molding and travel agency, among others.

The 20,000-square-metre Gude shopping centre represents an investment of 3 billion Kwanzas (US$12.6 million).(macauhub)
