At the end of May, the China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) sent an oil tanker with 60,000 tons of diesel to Brazil.
This is the first time a shipment of fuel has been shipped with this tonnage to the Americas.
The diesel was loaded at Bayuquan port, in China’s Liaoning province, by the Liaoyang Petrochemical Corp., a subsidiary of the CNPC refinery.
Chinaoil, the commercial unit of CNPC, has shipped about 1 million tons of crude oil to Latin America since 2015, in tankers with a capacity of just 40,000 tons of oil. (macauhub)
