Macao Bringbuys Web Technology plans to create a technological hub in Cabo Verde

Macao Bringbuys Web Technology intends to create a technological hub in Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) with plans to enter other West African countries, under a memorandum of understanding recently signed in Lisbon, Portugal, with Cabo Verde TradeInvest, the Cape Verdean investment agency’s president said on her return to Praia.

Ana Barber, on her return from Portugal where she took part in the 12th Meeting of Entrepreneurs for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, held on Thursday and Friday in Lisbon, said that the project with Macao Bringbuys Web Technology aims to give Cabo Verde’s companies access to cloud computing, for example.

“Bringbuys plans to set up a cloud computing centre, an offshore data centre, training facilities and incubators,” said Cabo Verde TradeInvest president, quoted by the Inforpress news agency.

Cabo Verde TradeInvest announced it will host a delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macau, which will travel to the archipelago with business people from Qingdao province on Thursday, 28 June.

The visit follows the signing of a protocol between the Cape Verdean agency and the government of that province of China at the 11th Meeting of Entrepreneurs for Economic and Commercial Cooperation between China and Portuguese Speaking Countries, held in Praia in June 2017, in order to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
