The Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) is prepared to support São Tomé and Príncipe companies to take part in the 23rd Macau International Trade Fair (MIF) and PLPEX, from 18 tto20 October, the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APCI) said on Wednesday in São Tomé.
In a statement read by macauhub in São Tomé, APCI said IPIM’s support mainly involves assistance in transporting people and products by air and sea as well as accommodation in Macau.
The APCI statement from São Tomé also mentioned that the level of support will vary based on the number of participants from São Tomé and Príncipe that may attend the Macau fairs for the first time.
In addition to a statement calling for São Toméa businesses to take part in the 23rd MIF and PLPEX, APCI sent each company in the archipelago an invitation, encouraging attendance at both events.
MIF 2017 was attended by more than 1,500 pavilions and companies from over 50 countries and regions. By the end of the event, 67 protocols were signed covering cooperation projects between governments and trade associations in the areas of agriculture, tourism, sport, education, Internet promotion, technology and trade of food stuffs.
The 2017 edition of the Portuguese Language Countries Products and Services Exhibition (PLPEX), which was held independently for the first time but alongside with MIF, attracted over 210 companies and entities. (macauhub)
