2 August 2018

Macau’s gross casino revenues in July totalled 25.327 billion patacas (US$3.165 billion), which represents growth of 10.3% compared to a year earlier, according to the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

The year-on-year rate of change in July was the second lowest in 2018, next to February, a month in which gross revenue growth was limited to 5.7%.

Accumulated gross revenue from January to July reached US$175,544 million (US$21.943 billion), a year-on-year increase of 17.5%, in this case the lowest of the year.

Macau’s six gaming and gambling concession holders had 41 casinos at the end of the first half, of which 22 were owned by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Venetian Macau, four by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts, and two by MGM Grand Paradise, with 6,586 gaming tables and 17,296 slot machines.

Two of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau’s casinos – Macau Palace and Greek Mythology – are provisionally suspended, according to the DICJ. (macauhub)
