PLPEX 2018, in Macau, has a bigger area and more exhibitors

The area dedicated to this year’s edition of the Exhibition of Products and Services of Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macau), or PLPEX 2018, has been increased to 6,000 square metres, the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) announced.

IPIM also announced that, in addition to almost doubling the space reserved, PLPEX 2018 will have, for the first time, an area reserved for renowned Brazilian products and another for the exchange of contacts on wines and foodstuffs in the Portuguese-speaking countries, in order to promote the role of Macau as a Service Platform for Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries.

PLPEX was held for the first time as an “exhibition within an exhibition” in the same venue as the 20th edition of the Macau International Fair (20th MIF) in 2015.

The event was held independently for the first time in 2017, having occupied an area of more than 3,000 square metres and attracted the participation of more than 210 institutions and companies from the Portuguese-speaking countries, users registered on the “Portal for the Cooperation in the Economic, Commercial and Human Resources Area between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries “and professional service providers.

This year’s edition will have more than 300 stands, with IPIM expected to attract, in addition to companies from the eight Portuguese-speaking countries, commercial agents of products from those countries in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The Exhibition of Products and Services of Portuguese Language Countries (Macau) (PLPEX 2018) will take place between 18 and 20 October, alongside the 23rd Macau International Fair. (macauhub)
