Businesspeople from the Chinese city of Taizhou in the coastal province of Zhejiang intend to invest in Angola in the health, education, agriculture and tourism sectors in Dande county, Bengo province, a Chinese source said on Thursday in Caxito.

Nimo Hau, a spokesman for the mission including members of the municipal government and businesspeople from the city, spoke at the end of an audience granted by the provincial governor of Bengo, Mara Quiosa.

The spokesman also said that in Angola they chose Bengo province for its similarity to Taizhou, with many rivers and water resources, noting that if there is an agreement between the two sides, Chinese entrepreneurs should invest in Angola, according to the Angop news agency.

He said that Taizhou is a modern city, with a population estimated at 5 million people, divided into 13 parishes and has extensive experience in the health, education and culture sectors, which can be useful for the development of the municipality of Dande in Bengo.

In Caxito, the Taizhou city government delegation, headed by the Vice-President of the Municipal Assembly, Wang Jian, visited the Provincial Hospital of Bengo, where he observed the operation of the surgery area, as well as the Mabubas dam. (macauhub)
