Punters spent 21.92 billion patacas (US$2.744 billion) in Macau’s casinos in September, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year, according to the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
The year-on-year rate of change was the lowest since the beginning of the year, at around half the rate recorded in February (+5.7%).
Accumulated gross revenue from January to September was 224.055 billion patacas (US$28.006 billion), an increase of 15.9% compared to revenue recorded in the same period of 2017.
Macau’s six gaming and gambling concession holders had 41 casinos at the end of the first half, of which 22 were owned by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts, and two by MGM Grand Paradise, with 6,586 gaming tables and 17,296 slot machines.
