The Bank of Mozambique has authorised a change of the name of Opportunity Bank (Banco Oportunidade de Moçambique) to MyBucks Bank Mozambique, according to a statement released this week.
The newly named MyBucks Bank Mozambique has 13 branches, and is the smallest of 19 banks authorised to operate in the country in terms of assets, according to a list published annually by auditing firm KPMG.
MyBucks is a financial technology (fintech) group that offers financial products and services through electronic platforms. It is present in 13 countries in Africa, Europe and Australia.
Headquartered in Luxembourg and listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the group has four brands – GetBucks, GetSure, New Finance Bank and Fairgo Finance – through which it markets banking and insurance products. (macauhub)
