Angola’s National Statistical Institute (INE) is conducting a pilot test of the Census of Agri-Livestock and Fisheries (RAPP), the main collection of which will take place across the country from May to October 2019, according to INE.
RAPP 2018/2019 will cover the whole agro-cattle and fishery sector, detailing the number of agri-livestock units, geographical distribution, type of property, land use, ownership and means of production and technology employed.
The purpose of this census is to provide the Angolan government with basic statistical data on agriculture and fisheries that allow studies or surveys to be carried out by sampling to contribute to an integrated system of agri-livestock and fisheries statistics.
This census involves INE, the Ministries of Agriculture and Forestry and of Fisheries and the Sea and the United Nations Fund for Food and Agriculture (FAO). (macauhub)
