A delegation of 120 businesspeople from the Brazilian State of São Paulo will take part in the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, taking place in early November, Brazilian newspaper Diário do Povo reported.
The delegation, led by the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), is made up of representatives of companies from different sectors, ranging from food processing to aeronautical technology.
Of the business people who are part of the delegation, 70 will take products to exhibit in four sectors – food and beverages, services, consumer goods and health products.
Before the fair, held from 5 to 10 November, there will be a seminar on business culture and Chinese cultural issues organised by FIESP.
José Ricardo Roriz Coelho, the 2nd vice-president of Fiesp and head of the delegation, told the newspaper that the aim of this mission was to help do business, both through direct sales and the establishment of partnerships and representation networks.
Apex-Brasil invited a total of 87 Brazilian companies to participate in the CIIE, 60 of which from the food and beverage sector, and the delegation plans to showcase Brazilian products including cachaça (sugarcane brandy), coffee, cheese bread, nuts, fashion items and dental products. (macauhub)
