President of China visits Macau Pavilion at Shanghai Trade Fair

The Macau Chief Executive took advantage of President Xi Jinping’s visit to the Macau Hub exhibition area to inform him about the development of Macau, according to an official statement.

The Government of the Macau Special Administrative Region (Macau SAR) set up an exhibition on the theme “Macau Hub” on display at the China Pavilion at the National Trade and Investment Fair, as part of the first China International Import Expo.

The Chief Executive, Chui Sai On, on Monday attended the opening ceremony of China’s first International Import Expo and visited the pavilion of the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) in the area of ​​food and agricultural products, where he spoke with local entrepreneurs.

IPIM, the Macau Government Tourist Office (DST) and the Cultural Industries Fund (FIC) organised the participation of various sectors of society, with several exhibitors in the food and agricultural products and services trade, respectively.

The first China International Import Expo officially opened on Monday and takes place over six days at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Centre.

President Xi Jinping chaired and addressed the opening ceremony of the event, with Chief Executive Chui Sai On attending the ceremony and welcome dinner. (macauhub)
