The Angolan President, João Lourenço, is due to make a three-day official visit to Portugal from 22 to 24 November, said the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic.
Angola’s Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto officially announced on 10 September in Luanda that the President would make an official visit to Portugal on 23 and 24 November, but the Angolan presidency has now confirmed that the trip will be three days.
The schedule of Lourenço’s to Portugal includes a session in the country’s parliament, on 22 November, in which the Angolan President will address the Portuguese members, as well as a ceremony to lay flowers in the Jeronimos Monastery.
The Portuguese press reported that the invitation to Lourenço to make a speech in the Portuguese Parliament during his visit to Portugal was arranged by the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Ferro Rodrigues, along with the government and the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa .
