The 22nd edition of the Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) International Fair (FIC), which starts on Wednesday, 14 November in Praia, will have a total of 220 stands of 130 companies from Cabo Verde, Portugal, Spain and Brazil, according to the event’s organisers.
Gil Costa, chairman of the FIC board of directors, said that the motto of this edition of the event, “CPLP, an intercontinental business platform,” is based on the fact that Cabo Verde this year holds the rotating presidency of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).
Cited by the Inforpress news agency, Costa said that demand for the stands exceeded the number proposed from the beginning, with a group of about 20 companies that the organisation was unable to acommodate due to lack of capacity.
The fair will be on from 14 to 18 November and, in addition to the products and services exhibition, the event, which will take place at FIC’s facilities in Achada Grande Frente, will have a number of simultaneous activities.
In addition to business meetings and the usual technical meetings, an international conference will be held, with the theme “CPLP – an intercontinental business platform,” the 2nd congress of public procurement and the General Assembly of the CPLP Business Confederation.
The event will also be marked by the public signing of the agreement to buy and sell the state’s stake in the FIC by the Chambers of Commerce of Cabo Verde, scheduled for the first day of the fair. (macauhub)
