Angola has started releasing basic macroeconomic data, thus applying the recommendations of the Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS), the National Bank of Angola said.
Data is available on the National Summary Data Page – NSDP at http://angola.opendataforafrica.org/mdvllif/national-summary-data-page-nsdp?lang=pt.
The webpage is intended to be a “one stop shop” for essential macroeconomic data on national accounts, debt and government operations, the monetary and financial sector and the balance of payments, which are released in both readable format for people and for computers.
The e-GDDS was created in 2015 by the IMF Board to support improved data transparency, encourage statistical development and help create synergies between data dissemination and monitoring.
The National Data Summary Page is maintained through an open data platform, made available by the African Development Bank and the IMF E-Bulletin, containing links to statistics published by producers of official data, namely the Ministry of Finance, National Bank of Angola and the Angolan National Statistics Institute.
