Gaming and gambling revenues in Macau in 2018 grew by 14% to 302.846 billion patacas (US$37.6 billion), according to official data released by the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
According to data from the DICJ, during 2017, casino revenues totalled 265.743 billion patacas.
The year-on-year positive trend continued in December, with casinos ending the month with revenues of 26.468 billion patacas, 16.6% more than in the same period of last year.
Macau is the only place in China where casino gambling is legal.
Six concessionaires (Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, Galaxy Casino, Venetian Macau, Melco Resorts, Wynn Resorts e MGM Grand Paradise) operate in Macau with a total of 41 casinos. (macauhub)
