Macau’s gross revenue from casinos fell 5.0% year-on-year to 24.942 billion patacas (US$3.117 billion), according to the region’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
Revenue from gambling in 2018 grew 14% to 302.846 billion patacas (US$37.6 billion), according to official figures.
Macau’s six gaming and gambling concession holders had 41 casinos at the end of the 2018, of which 22 were owned by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts (Macau), and two by MGM Grand Paradise, with 6,588 gaming tables and 16,059 slot machines.
Two of the casinos run by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau – Macau Palace and Greek Mythology – are provisionally suspended, according to the Bureau. (macauhub)
