Macau International Environmental Cooperation Exhibition scheduled for 28 March

The 12th Macau International Environmental Cooperation Forum 2019 (2019 MIECF) will run from 28-30 March 2019 under the theme “Towards an ecological civilization and sustainable development.”

 

According to an official statement, MIECF will continue to play the role of an international platform for the transfer of technologies for environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development among the countries included in the “Belt and Road” initiative, the regions included in the Pan Pearl River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay and the Portuguese-speaking countries.

 

MIECF is organised by the Macau Government with the support of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Environment Ecology of the People’s Republic of China and the governments of the provinces and regions that make up the Pan Pearl River DElta as co-organisers.

 

For three days, the MIECF will organise a series of activities, namely the “Green Forum”, the “Green Show”, “Green Business Cooperation Day”, the “Green Contacts Network Meeting”, the “Green Interchange” and the “Green Day of the Public”.

 

In the 2018 edition, 35 cooperation projects were signed and 349 sessions were organised with the participation of more than 50 pioneers in environmental protection, leaders of multinational companies and policy makers from various countries and regions, who shared their vision, the latest corporate strategies and industry trends.
